Kay zaharis biography

The Cortland Free Library has announced their new Library Director. The Board of Trustees have named Jessica Magelaner, MLIS of Turner Falls, Massachusetts as the Director of the Cortland Free Library.

A unanimous decision was made by the Board of Trustees during their regular meeting that took place on Tuesday, June 25th.

The announcement comes after an over two month national search for a new director after the resignation of Director Jen Graney in early March.

The library says Magelaner’s first day will be on July 1st and will take over the role from interim co-directors Priscilla Berggren-Thomas and Kay Zaharis.

Magelaner brings 14 years of experience in librarianship, including 12 years of supervisory/library management experience. She most recently served as the Director of the Orange Public Libraries in Orange Massachusetts since 2016.
